Apachean Highlands

In this map (adapted from Gori & Enquist 2003), the green boundary line charts the limits of Apachean Highlands in and around the San Pedro River Valley. Within that range, yellow indicates dominance of native grass in locales of 10-35% shrub cover, while pink designates areas that were formerly grassland but now have shrub cover more than 35%.
